“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12

Our mission is to correspond to the four letters of JEEPGY+FM. First, we have the

“Youth Empowerment”; the pandemic had stopped us from interacting face-to-face, thus, it introduced us to the new normal — online setup. It is evident that the youth is excessively active on social media and is prone to commenting on posts. Therefore, we do our mission to dedicate our time and energy to sharing encouraging messages, information for awareness and knowledge, organization announcements, and celebrating and commemorating events. We aim to empower the youth to become a better version of themselves. To be more understanding and aware of their community and society. “The youth hold the future in their hands”, a perceived statement about the youth; but were they allowed to choose what kind of future they are going to live in? The youth carries big responsibilities and expectations, to which as early as now, it is best to offer them encouragement, awareness, openness, and inspiration.

Second, we correspond to “Engaged Citizenship”; regardless of an individual’s age, we are ought to engage with others despite the difficulty of this pandemic. Moreover, we are expected to cooperate and be united; we should be aware of the consequences of our actions. Likewise, as we engage through social media, the awareness we bring to people upon the issues of the society and educating the wrong in perception. Third, we correspond to “Gender Sensitivity”; everyone is built differently, but does being “different” permits us to create minorities that are deemed to be abnormal to the society? At this time, people are becoming more open to their experiences about their gender. Women speak more about feminism, and men learn more about toxic masculinity. People start to condemn sexism and declare it as a trait that is not welcomed in the future. Most people from the LGBTQIA+ community are out proud. We, as a diverse group of people, are cooperating on this ongoing process and becoming part of the change to an unjustifiable diversity.

Fourth, we correspond to “Media Education”: we learn from the internet, we teach through the internet. We aim to educate people and view them with responsibility to social media usage. Different personalities, mindsets, experiences, and beliefs lurk on the internet. It is basic human decency to be cautious of what you post or share on a public platform. “Think before you click”. It is important to know the consequences and how it affects the audience. Cyberbullying has become normal and the number of cases continues to rise. Therefore, we aim to share positivity and optimism with our daily posts and content that are beneficial to everyone. In conclusion, we aim to be of service to the social community, promote kindness, be optimistic, share information, advocate awareness, and follow Christ’s greatest commandment — love.
